Causal Foundations of Biological Information

The lack of a rigorous account of biological information is a striking gap in the scientific worldview. This project aims to fill that gap by designing proper measures of biological information and showing that information is a substantive causal factor in living systems. My work on this project is realized in collaboration with Karola Stotz (Macquarie University) and Brett Calcott (University of Sydney). The project is led by Paul Griffiths (University of Sydney).
